Reviewed by someone qualified to judge.

Dr Kiran Bhagate directs IDAC's engineering practice. He is one of a small number of engineers appointed by NAFEMS to assess the simulation competence of others — which is the standard every IDAC deliverable is held to before it leaves Pune.

Engineering services

Seven disciplines, one review standard. Each service is available as a scoped package or as part of a dedicated team.

  1. Finite element analysis

Linear and non-linear stress, thermal and coupled analysis in ANSYS. Pressure vessels and tanks, structural assemblies, offshore and subsea components, fatigue and fracture.

  2. Computational fluid dynamics

Flow, heat transfer and multiphase simulation in ANSYS. Heat exchangers, separators, mixing chambers, ducting and thermal management.

  3. Structural design and optimisation

Onshore and offshore steel structures to international codes, with analysis-led optimisation. Platforms, skids, supports, lifting and handling.

  4. Piping design and engineering

Layout, routing, isometrics, bills of material and support design, coordinated with equipment and structures.

  5. Plant 3D design

Full plant models, coordinated clash checks and structural steel detailing. Design ownership from plot plan to isometric.

  6. Vibration engineering

Modal, harmonic, response spectrum and random vibration analysis to find resonance risks early and extend component life.

  7. Explicit dynamics

Drop, impact, blast and penetration events analysed in ANSYS, for safety-critical assessment under extreme loads.

Design ownership, held to the same review standard.

IDAC produces the plant model as well as verifying it. Our Plant 3D practice delivers full plant models, coordinated clash checks and structural steel detailing, with every model reviewed to the same standard as every calculation.

The practice is anchored in process and CBG plant, where India's mandatory biogas blending obligations are creating a design pipeline larger than the country's plant-design capacity. IDAC has delivered EPC support for a 10 TPD compressed biogas plant through a project-based ODC.

Setting up an offshore team

Four steps from first conversation to a team delivering under your name. Most engagements begin with two or three engineers and scale from there.

Design-based teams have reduced client software and operating costs by up to 60%; resource-pool engagements by up to 42%. Both figures are illustrative — the baseline and assumptions are published on the cost model page.
  1. 01

    Scope

We agree the disciplines, tools, deliverable formats, review gates and reporting cadence, and confirm data-handling and IP terms.

  2. 02

    Assemble

Engineers are selected from IDAC's bench or recruited to your profile. Licences, workstations and secure access are set up in Pune.

  3. 03

    Deliver

The team works in your systems and to your standards. Every deliverable passes IDAC's internal review before it reaches you.

  4. 04

    Scale

Headcount moves with your programme, up or down, on agreed notice. Knowledge stays documented so the team is never a single point of failure.

"At Rhizome, we have used IDAC for all our FEA and CFD requirements. Work is always well presented and executed in a timely and professional manner."

Bob CoatesDirector, Rhizome Energy, United Kingdom

"We found their approach very methodical and systematic. They are open to feedback and suggestions, and they ensure the same are captured in the analysis."

Jaykumar MotwaniVice President, Engineering, Woodfield Systems International

Start with the scope.

Send a drawing, a P&ID or a two-line description of the problem. An engineer replies within one working day, with questions rather than a brochure.
