What "reviewed" actually means here.
Quality claims are cheap. These are the specific mechanisms, and the specific gaps.
The review standard
Every deliverable that carries engineering consequence is reviewed internally before it is issued. The review is carried out by an engineer who did not produce the work, and for anything with certification or safety implication, by our technical director.
The review examines the things that are easy to get wrong and hard to see: whether the load case is complete, whether boundary conditions are physically honest, whether material data is sourced and appropriate, whether the acceptance criterion is the correct one, and whether the model resolves what it claims to at the location that governs.
Competence framework
Simulation competence is assessed against NAFEMS Professional Simulation Engineer competency frameworks rather than against years of service. That distinction matters: seniority and simulation competence correlate loosely at best, and organisations that conflate them tend to discover it at an inconvenient moment.
Codes and standards
Work is delivered to the code governing the project. Common bases across our disciplines include pressure equipment codes, piping codes, structural steel codes and recognised offshore design practice, with the applicable code agreed at scoping rather than assumed.
