Yes. A single analysis study is a normal engagement for us and does not need to be part of a larger programme.

For plant design, yes — that is what our Plant 3D practice does. For equipment design, it depends on the equipment; ask and we will say plainly whether it is within our scope.

We will say so. We would rather decline than take work we cannot do properly, and we can often point you to someone who can.

An analysis study is usually two to six weeks depending on complexity. Plant design packages run to months. ODC engagements are ongoing. We give a date at quotation and tell you early if it is at risk.

An engineer responds within one working day, usually with questions about the scope rather than an immediate price.

For analysis: the geometry or drawing, the load case, and the code you need it assessed against. For design: the process basis and the site constraints. If you are missing some of that, send what you have and we will tell you what else is needed.

Scoped packages are fixed price against a defined deliverable. ODC engagements are a monthly rate per engineer. Time and materials is available where scope genuinely cannot be fixed in advance.

Our analysis work is carried out in ANSYS. Design and modelling use industry-standard plant design and structural detailing tools. If your project requires a specific toolchain or file format, tell us at enquiry.

Every deliverable carrying engineering consequence is reviewed internally by an engineer who did not produce it, and for certification or safety work by our technical director — a Chartered Engineer and NAFEMS Professional Simulation Engineer Assessor.

The code governing your project. Common bases include pressure equipment, piping, structural steel and offshore design standards. The applicable code is agreed at scoping rather than assumed.

They are written to be. Calculation packages state assumptions, source material data, justify boundary conditions and assess results against the governing code clause, which is what third-party reviewers need.

It depends on whether the skills exist on our bench or need recruiting. Bench-sourced teams start in weeks; recruited-to-profile teams take longer, and we will give you a realistic date rather than an optimistic one.
