Structural design and optimisation
Steelwork designed to code and then refined by analysis, rather than sized by rule of thumb and left heavy.

Design, then optimise
Most structural steel in process plant is heavier than it needs to be. Not because engineers are careless, but because conservative sizing is fast and optimisation takes time that a project programme rarely allows.
The difference matters at fabrication. On a pipe rack or a skid frame, a disciplined optimisation pass typically removes weight without touching the utilisation limits — which shows up directly in steel tonnage, transport and erection cost. We treat that pass as part of the design, not as an extra.
Optimisation is bounded by what is sensible to fabricate. A section that saves 4% weight and requires a non-standard plate thickness is not a saving. We work to available section sizes and standard connection details unless there is a reason not to.
What we design
Pipe racks and support structures
Multi-tier racks, sleeper ways, T-supports and stanchions, designed with the piping loads and thermal movement they actually carry rather than assumed nominal loads.
Equipment skids and frames
Package skids, compressor and pump bases, and modular frames — including lifting, transport and shipping load cases, which are frequently the governing condition.
Platforms, walkways and access steel
Operating and maintenance access designed around real-world reach and egress, not just a code-compliant minimum.
Lifting and handling structures
Padeyes, spreader frames, davits and lifting beams, assessed for the dynamic amplification and sling-angle cases that govern them.
Codes and standards
We work to the code the project is governed by rather than the one most convenient. Common bases include Eurocodes, AISC and the relevant Indian Standards for building and industrial steelwork, with offshore work assessed to recognised offshore structural practice.
Send the layout and the loads.
We will come back with the design basis we would work to and a scoped price.
